02/14/11 V-day and day after birthday

As I sit here looking back over yesterday's events, I figured out two things: One...I have a couple of really amazing friends. Two...I am so lucky to have a family like mine.One...my friends. I got the sweetest gift yesterday from my fellow blogger and best friend. She gave me a teddy bear. While it may seem insignificant to you, to me it was the best. The reason that this gift is so meaninful to me is the thought. She remembered that a month and a half ago I said that I'd wanted a bear one year for my birthday and never got one. It was so sweet of her to remember! She also gave me some vibrating mascara(haha), some fragrant body lotions/soaps, and a book of Saturday Night Live. All of this is why she is such an amazing person. 
Two...my family. My mom bought me a cake, the cutest cake ever. Pink and brown with pretty flowers. Sweet! She also took me and bought me some Puma tennis shoes for work and such. Some clothes were also included and I got to spend time with her. My papa and I watched the Wizard of Oz together and also a nice little documentary on solitary confinement. My grandmother and the rest of my family wished me a happy birthday. It was one of the best by far. Coffee with my best friend, cake from my mom, the Wizard of Oz, and fun filled text messages. As for today...it's Valentine's day. Haha. Joy. Commercialized love and hearts galore. Of course I probably won't be spending it with my significant other, but that's alright. I understand he works hard. Well...off to get ready for work!!
